Education
Sept 2016 – June 2020
University of California, Irvine,
Irvine, CA
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Specialization in Design of
Mechanical
Systems
- Member – Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
Engineering Work Experience
Engineer 1 – Socal Gas Pipeline Integrity – Underground Storage, Project Close-out Reconciliation
(2022 – 2023)
Campos EPC,
Anaheim CA
- Review various repositories such as RDMS, Wellview, WellStar, CalGam and SIMP records to verify each well has complete records to adhere with SIMP Policy Governance Lead & CFR Ch. 14, Part 192, Subpart 192.12.
- Responsible for review and collection of construction documents for the following project scopes: New Drilling, Workover w/ Rig, Reassessment, Workover Rigless, Abandonment and reconciliation of Miscellaneous Job Reports to ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Correspond with various stakeholders associated with the well to ensure a timely project closeout and resolve any outstanding issues.
- Manage 8 projects simultaneously, all while in different stages of closeout to ensure successful well closeout
Engineer 1 – Socal Gas Pipeline Integrity – Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure Program
(2022 – 2023)
Campos EPC,
Anaheim CA
- Conducted research using SEMPRA databases to update and verify Gas and Oil Pipeline attributes (operating pressure, maximum allowable operating pressure, pipeline sizing specifications, etc.)
- Updated SEMPRA Database using Pipeline Document Management System to find pipeline documents (as-builts, completion sketches, data design sheets, test logs, test charts, material list, etc.)
Contract Engineer
(2021 – 2022)
Custom Performance Racing,
Glendale, CA
- Led and participated in cross-functional teams to design and develop mechanical components
- Managed design efforts to enhance manufacturability and reliability for clients in the automotive, military and aerospace industries
- Designed a 1970 Boss 302 Mustang dashboard and dashboard mold capable of being 3D-printed to consistently and efficiently manufacture Carbon Fiber Dashboards
- Created CNC programs for two 5-axis CNCs (HAAS VM-6 and UMC-750) to manufacture parts based on engineering drawings for automotive, aerospace, and military companies. Verifying tight tolerances (± 0.001 inch), verifying surface roughness, and maintaining parallelism within 0.002 inch
- Designed Junior Dragster components; creating an engineering mechanical drawing, 3D CAD model, 3D printed prototype, and CNC program for a production contracted by a vendor
Baja SAE Chief Engineer and Project Manager
(2019 – 2020)
University of California, Irvine,
Irvine, CA
- Managed a team of 25 undergraduate engineers through the design, manufacturing, analysis and testing of a single seater all-terrain vehicle for the 2020 Baja SAE competition
- Developed a functional prototype with last year’s chassis and newly designed components. The prototype was used to test and validate the vehicle’s system integration and to detect potential failures. This allowed for the final and verified vehicle to be completed 3 months ahead of any UCI Baja SAE vehicle
- Created subsystem (suspension & steering, powertrain, chassis, brakes, telemetry) goals for two vehicles (2020,2021) based on previous years testing data to design and build a more reliable, quicker, and maneuverable all-terrain vehicle
- Created and managed large assembly models/drawings incorporating an understanding of GD&T
- Designed powertrain telemetry to gather data and use data management to tune continuously variable transmission using an Arduino microcontroller, accelerometer sensor, and rpm sensor
Baja SAE Powertrain Engineer
(2019)
University of California, Irvine,
Irvine, CA
- Identified potential failure mode in CVT rubber belt and re-designed CVT aluminium casing for increased air flow for temperature control
- Designed a ventilation system for the vehicle’s continuously variable transmission housing to prevent CVT rubber belt from melting at critical temperatures, using a temperature sensor, fan, and Arduino.
- Created a quality control plan for the powertrain subsystem (engine, CV axles, gearbox, and wheel hubs) to consistently maintain and verify that the components met our requirements
Mechanical, Electrical, and Program Engineer
(2019)
University of California, Irvine,
Irvine, CA
- Designed, built, and assisted in programming an autonomous robot using an Arduino micro-controller and a pneumatic cylinder for propulsion.
- Created electrical schematics and designed electrical orientation for minimal interference of components
Work Experience
2nd Assistant Director
(2020 – Current)
Freelance – Film Industry,
Los Angeles, CA
- Managed day-to-day operations by distributing tasks to ensure proposed timeline was followed strictly
- Communicated with director to coordinate talent preparation to work alongside set preparation to be more time effective
- Worked alongside Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Fire Department, and EMTs to ensure health and safety of the cast and crew was top priority
